At first look, this round carpet designed by Studio Siem & Pabon could pass as a regular carpet. If you take a closer look, you can see that it can be hooked to your heating system to make the carpet warm. When I saw this, I first thought that it would be pretty cool if you let your kids play on the ground on a cold floor. Actually, I had it all wrong, this warm carpet is way more useful than that.
This carpet was made for asthmatic people who can’t have carpets in their homes because of dust worms. No matter how clean and well-vacuumed the carpet is, there will be residue that can mean trouble for those suffering asthma. The Fervent Carpet, as it was named by the designers, solved this problem by heating up to 60 degrees Celsius, a temperature that kills off dust worms.
