Google isn’t the only company that actively works on a self-driving car, although the are the ones getting the most press for it.

At CES in Las Vegas, Daimler AG and Mercedes-Benz presented the concept self-driving car they’ve been working on, and it does look futuristic. Design-wise, the car has a very ergonomic look-and-feel, with some unusual features like the door opening system.

There is still a steering wheel available if the passengers choose to drive themselves, and the seats can either face forward like in any car, or be turned around so people are facing each other. The car is also full of electronics and can project messages for other drivers, or even project some lines on the floor when it stops for people who walk to safely cross the road.
