Edward Curtis, pictures from the past
I am a big fan of Edward Curtis, this man was my hero when I was a teenager and I still enjoy going through books of his Native Americans’ photos. What he did is simply amazing, photographing more than 80 tribes and covering the entire continent of North-America. We own him a lot of what we know about these civilisations of the past.
Phil Borges is having the same kind of project all over the word, please take a look at what he has to say in the video.

THE INDIAN PICTURE OPERA, is a recreation of a Curtis stage show from 1911. 50 minutes of ES Curtis explaining the Indians of America’s west, hundreds of pictures as well.
