When you think of the Victorian era, you probably get serious images popping in your head. There is a good reason for that, photos from that period of time required that people stood still to get a clear image. If you do a Google search on images from that era, you’ll see that there are even far creepier reasons for the seriousness associated with Victorian era (if you didn’t click the link, that was photographic portraits of dead people).

There are however other pictures that show that people of that historical period were not that serious, and they even enjoyed laughing (which is pretty obvious when you think about it more than two seconds). Another playful (and dark) memory from that time is the type of cards that people would send each other on Christmas. In this post you can see that Victorian people had an interesting and absurd sense of humour, and that they would send each other some bizarre cards.
