It’s been almost 3 years since we moved Designer Daily from Dreamhost to WebHostingBuzz. The main change was an instant rise in traffic in the month following the move (July 2011), the traffic nearly doubled. To be fair, these traffic changes were mostly due to getting more powerful servers, but the response time also got much quicker.
The main advantage with WebHostingBuzz is that they are a human-sized hosting company, which means that you can get much better support than anywhere else. So far I never had to wait more than one hour to get a reply, I can’t promise they are always that quick but I know that their support won’t fail to help you out.
Many designers and developers make this mistake, they choose their hosting based on pricing only. While WebHostingBuzz’s prices are reasonable (I’d even say cheap), they are not the cheapest on the market. However, their servers are usually faster and their support is way ahead of the competition. This means that if you get hacked or get in some other kind of trouble, you’ll get your money back, thanks to WebHostingBuzz’s great support.
For web designers, you’ll probably be more interested with their reseller hosting (it has some great promotions right now).
