In a mesmerizing fusion of automotive design and sacred artistry, Ben Tuna of Glass Vision Studio has reimagined the iconic Porsche 911 as a radiant stained-glass art car. Titled Resurrection, the project transforms the sleek curves of the classic sports car into a kaleidoscope of colored glass, evoking the grandeur of Gothic cathedrals—while still hinting at the raw power beneath its luminous shell.
A Divine Detour from Tradition
Stained glass has long been associated with places of worship, casting ethereal light through biblical narratives. Tuna, however, sees the medium as a way to elevate secular objects into something transcendent. “The Porsche 911 is already an icon—almost a religious symbol for car enthusiasts,” he explains. Resurrection plays on that devotion, reincarnating the vehicle as a moving chapel of light and shadow.

Crafting the Impossible
Unlike traditional automotive wraps or paint jobs, Tuna’s vision required painstaking work. Each “pane” of glass was digitally modeled to follow the 911’s aerodynamic contours, then fabricated using lightweight, shatter-resistant materials that mimic the look of leaded stained glass. The result is a dynamic interplay of translucent hues, shifting with sunlight and artificial illumination—giving the car an almost otherworldly presence on the road.
Speed and Spirituality
While the original 911’s performance remains untouched, Resurrection challenges perceptions of what an art car can be. It’s not just a canvas for bold graphics but a meditation on transformation—where the mechanical meets the metaphysical. As Tuna puts it: “This isn’t just a car; it’s a moving sculpture that questions how we assign meaning to beauty and function.”
For design enthusiasts, Resurrection is a bold reminder that even the most utilitarian objects can become vessels for storytelling. And for Porsche purists? Perhaps a divine intervention.
