Born in 1948 and still working on his art in Japan, Ray Morimura is a talented wood engraver who built a unique style throughout the years. He started out as an abstract painter and turned to figurative prints later in his career. His artworks use complex patterns to create a sens of depth rarely seen in woodcuts. There isn’t much information available on the Internet about this artist, but you can find an entire Flickr set with his prints.
