Logos of the candidate cities for the 2016 Olympics
Designing an Olympic logo must be a quite challenging work, the outcome will be seen by many and everyone will give his opinion about it. Designing for a candidate city just as challenging, so let’s see how well the 2016 candidate cities did.

chicago is my favourite since it has the least overload. tokyo comes in 2nd place, madrid & rio share 3rd
All making the London 2012 one look even more like was made by a kid in the 80s who’s just got some new highlighters for xmas.
I love Madrid’s. The hand is such a welcoming and personal symbol and the use of bold colour is fun. It feels like Madrid to me, but is also world-welcoming.
I like Madrid’s logo also, keeps it a bit personal. Plus color combination is pretty sweet too.
Madrid is definitely the winner for me. It represents the vibrancy of the city and the diversity of the nations participating in the Olympics. An exquisite use of color. Thank you for sharing!
Out of the four, the Madrid logo stood out the most for me, it’s definitely my favorite of them all. The others seam a little too complicated.
Madrid is my personal favorite with Chicago a distant second. Although I like Rio’s it just doesn’t look ‘Olympic’ to me. I like the font Tokyo uses, but I don’t understand the significance behind the symbol. Is it a noose?
On their logo alone, I hope Chicago get to host the games.
I’m really liking the style of the Chicago logo, it’s clean and very elegant. Madrid is probably the second favourite of mine.

I like the Madrid and Chicago logos, very nice.
The 2012 is pretty poor in comparison.
I have to say I’m not a fan of any of them, if I had to choose I’d opt for the hand.

My choice for best logos would have to go to Madrid and then Tokyo. Just seem to be the most uplifting to me and that’s how a symbol for the Olympics should make you feel.

Madrid looks cool & others
Madrid is best, Tokyo is nice but classic, Rio is nice but doesn’t use Olympic colors and Chicago is just… amateurish.
These are some really interesting designs I personally favor the Chicago design.
The Chicago logo looks like it’s from Christmas 1983.
Tokyo’s is the best.
Madrid looks likes Google Chromes icon got smashed. I like Chicago’s symbol the best. Sometimes the simple one is the best.
Madrid looks like they’re giving you the finger.

I’m sorry but I see nothing attirant with the Chicago logo. Looks very Americana back in their days. Tokyo & Rio look awesome. The Madrid one looks playful
