Clumsy people like myself can only be impressed by paper-cutting artists. The skills, patience and dedication this type of art requires is just beyond anything I could imagine doing.

No wonders I’m deeply impressed by the works of Hudson Valley based artist Maude White. The artist loves playing with negative space, cutting out some pieces to make beautiful things come to life. The level of detail displayed in her paper cuttings is just too good to be true, whether it’s in the leaf membranes or bird feathers she creates.

She has often been exhibited in various galleries and published, but if you aren’t in her area, it’s still easier to just check out more of her work on her portfolio site.
