Syfon Studio was founded by Urszula Janowska and Filip Tofil, two Polish graphic designers who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts of Warsaw. The studio works for large clients in the culture industry both in Poland and on an international level, they were often awarded for their poster design work.

It’s not surprising that the project we feature is all about posters. Post/era is a take on the contemporary poster as a graphic object. With minimal use of color, using comic book drawing techniques, Syfon Studio played with shapes to create stunning “in-your-face” posters. The project was commissionned by the Kielce Institute of Design, who hosted an exhibition on poster design.

There is a long tradition of quality poster design in Poland, it’s good to see it continuing with young talented graphic designers who explore the possibilities offered by this medium.
