Typographers handwritings

Ever wondered if famous typographers have a good handwriting? I did, probably because I have a shitty handwriting myself and hope that I’ll be able to create a good font someday (working on it).
The Man in Blue did more than just wondering about that, he actually asked some prominent typographers to send him a scan of their handwriting. See the result on this page.
The type designers who replied are Eric Spiekermann, Göran Söderström, Nikola Djurek, Sebastian Lester, Mark Simonson, Kris Sowersby, Eduardo Manso, Veronika Burian, Marian Bantjes and Dino dos Santos. A nice thing would have been a graphologic analysis of the handwritings and compare it with the characteristics of the fonts of each creator.

Very interesting - I remember in high school seeing a fellow classmate handwriting (he was an artist) in one of my classes and it was so cool - it looked like a funky font. I even tried copying it, but I couldn’t! That’s a great suggestion about the graphology. It’s amazing what you can find out about a person from their handwriting. P.S. Your handwriting looks like it could be a font - I like the long ascenders and descenders! It reminds me of someone writing a postcard on a beach.
