Where do you find big companies vector logos for free?
After the recent post on car logos evolution, Justin sent me an email asking where to find the logos in vector format. I thought I’d share the answer with all my readers, so here are a few websites where you can find many multinational companies logos in vector format. Keep in mind that all these logos are copyrighted and that you shouldn’t use them for any illegal purpose.
1. La Logotheque
My personal favorite, I’ve been using it since design school to find some popular logos.
2. SeekLogo
A minimalistic search engine dedicated to find vector logos, works very well.
3. Brands of the World
Another serious resource for anyone looking for famous vector logos.
http://www.logotypes101.com/ is also a good place, them and Brands are my 2 favorite
http://www.webchantier.com/
Webchantier is great too.
There is also other vector ressources like maps or flags.
With this one and Brands of the Worlds, it’s hard to miss something you seek.

Another way, although can be more time consuming, find company PDF’s online and open in Illustrator.

I though that I was one of the few doing that trick. It’s more time consuming, that’s true. But most of the times it’s the only way. It has saved me a plenty good times now!
Its also fun to search for the company name + PDF via google, and often find a pdf with the vector logo used. then dissect the pdf to obtain the logo.
Opening the Wikipedia article on that company and switching to the German site. Just click at the logo and do it again in the preview. In most cases a svg of the logo just opened.

Great sites, great links. But I learn that there’s no guarantee that you’ll find a particular logo, or the latest logo/ci. Some might not even be accurate.
