Kunito Nagaoka is a Japanese printmaker with a long career as an artist. Born in 1940, he grew up and studied art in his country, then lived in Berlin, Germany, for 20 years. Now, he teaches art in a Fine Art school in Kyoto.

Nagaoka’s work is full of mystery, often involving landscape that include geometric architectural structure that give it an alien-like look-and-feel. For his time, the Japanese artist used exceptional etching techniques that make his work stand out from the crowd.
