I know, my title is kind of overused and everybody knows that an image is worth a thousand words, especially advertisers or politicians. In his presentation at TED, Chris Jordan proves once again the power of image over words to represent huge data and numbers.

Depicts one million plastic cups, the number used on airline flights in the US every six hours.

This photography artistic project can pretty much be taken as a form of militant infography. Instead of telling us the numbers, which will not lead to any reaction. On the contrary, these images are quite astonishing and are more likely to provoke action among viewers.
