client-from-hell

If you have been a freelance designer for over 5 years, you have probably heard it all already: free work for exposure, having to design something based on the boss’ wife’s sketches, getting free mockups,… All these things seem perfectly reasonable to some people who are seeking a designer. One could think that it is related to the service industry we are in, but it seems that people have no problem understanding the concept of paying for a cab ride, a latte, or a chef cooking for you.

For publicity, the makers of the Toggl time-tracking app created this funny video that shows you, using absurd examples, how ridiculous some requests we have to put up with can be. Roaming the streets of London with hidden cameras, a businessman named Matt (aka “the client from hell”) tries to get free taxi rides, free coffees, and other dumb stuff. Just see it for yourself.
